Who we are
Maine Masque is the University of Maine's theatre club. We are a group of theater and non-theatre maiors who want to celebrate the arts here on campus. We are completely student run, aside from our faculty advisor, Rosalie Purvis. We have a council of students who represent us, host fun events, and create additional opportunities for us.
Meet your 2024-2025 Maine Masque Council
Gracie Farrar is the Maine Masque Council’s President and Event Coordinator for the second time. Gracie has been very involved with theater at UMaine, acting in three shows, including her upcoming performance in Maine Masque’s A Marriage of Inconvenience, assistant stage managing three shows, and working crew for one. She also works in the School of Performing Arts Crew, as a SPA Ambassador, and in the Costume Shop. Gracie is a theater major, but when she isn’t doing theater related things at UMaine you can find her acting in local theater companies such as The Lace Theatre Company, True North Thetare Company, TBT, and STC.
Patty Morris is our Vice President for his second year on our council. He is a military history major who has been seen in many productions here at UMaine. His favorite roles have been Evans in Terra Nova, Valére in Tartuffe, A Somebody in Everybody, and Howie in Rabbit Hole. He is also in last semester’s show, Birth and After Birth as Nicky and this semester’s show, Wyoming as Grant. When Patty is not doing theater, he can be found researching historical events.
Sophie Bilodeau is a returning member of our council, this year she is our Secretary. She has stage managed nine productions here at UMaine and she loves to do it! She stage managed last semester’s Women of Lockerbie and this semester’s Wyoming. A fun fact about Sophie is that this Summer she ran away and joined a traveling Circus! After graduating, she will be going to Carnegie Mellon.
Nick Corcione is our Treasuer on the council. He is a junior biology major with a minor in theatre. He has been involved with many theatre productions here at UMaine from Tartuffe his freshman year to No Exit last year. He is also directing Maine Masque’s production of A Marriage of Inconvenience in the Spring!
Jayden is our Public Relations Representative. He has spent his second year playing the role of Bill in our Fall produciton of Birth and After Birth and Tom in this semester’s Wyoming. He has performed in numerous productions prior to UMaine, with some of his favorites being The Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Caliban in Shakespeare’s The Tempest, and Captain Hook in Peter Pan. Jayden is a theatre major and aims to pursue a minor in dance. When he is not onstage, you can find Jayden in the Rec Center playing basketball.
